Scott Miller

Scott M. Miller graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 1992. Prior to entering law school, Mr. Miller graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. Mr. Miller is licensed to practice law in all Florida State Courts as well as the Federal Courts of the Middle, Southern, and Northern United States District Courts of Florida. Mr Miller’s legal career began in North Florida as an assistant public defender, defending thousands of clients and gaining very valuable trial experience.

In 1995, Mr. Miller relocated to Manatee County and became an assistant state prosecutor in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit, prosecuting a vast variety of crimes and continuing to take many cases to trial gaining reputation as an aggressive advocate in the courtroom. In 1997, Mr. Miller entered private practice and his primary office is in downtown Sarasota. Mr. Miller has tried hundreds of cases as lead counsel and represented clients charged with simple misdemeanors, to complicated multi-co-defendant racketeering to first degree murder.

Mr. Miller lives in Manatee County with his wife and four children. He continues to be involved within the community, supporting activities such as little league baseball, the local YMCA, after school programs, and remains and active member of Temple Beth Sholom in Sarasota County.
